Need simple idea for connecting my hops strainer to the rear of a standard plastic drum tap, can it be as simple as a bored rubber bung jammed in the hole? Help guys

Thinking of putting together my own hops strainer for the inside of my electrim boiler thingy, whats the best way to connect to the back ot the existing tap (it's one of the standard plastic ones with about a 20mm bore on the inside, but don't know what the outside thread size is) also any help...

Can someone please recommend a good 5 or 7 day wine kit, I've done a Cabernet Sauvignon 5 day 21 litre kit by Cantina, turned out not too bad for a first attempt, now Mrs. McC is after another to try, any colour (or one of each).

OK so can someone tell me what governs the alcohol content? Is it the amount of sugar, the amount of yeast or the time you let it ferment? Ive seen recipes for varying quantities using the same amount of yeast (I think) any hints or tips greatly absorbed

My first batch of ginger beer has come out ever so slightly sour, is there anything I can change in the brew to stop this, currently I'm mixing with some lemonade (mainly as its about 9%, I need advice on how to lower this too please) and its doing the trick but I'd prefer to change the recipe...

Hi there, looking to do my first home brew kit, so here's the question, my wife likes Old Speckled Hen and Pedigree, and I like Black Sheep and Hobgoblin, is there anything thats anywhere close to this? Failing that, a nice crisp bitter/ale that a beginner can't mess up?

Newbie question alert! When using the Demijohn as primary FV, how much gap should I leave between the top of the liquid and the bottom of the airlock cork? I'm kind of guessing about 1 to 2", am I anywhere close?
