    degassing

    I've just remembered that I bottled 6 bottles of wine last weekend and I forgot to degass (I had stopped the yeast though several weeks before). Will this cause problems or will it just be slightly fizzy? Thanks.

    Have I cured the pressure keg problems?

    question about tannin

    my first attempt at Damson wine: I've checked loads of recipes some have tannin and some don't. It's a pretty sharp fruit so I was wondering if tanning is really necessary. Any thoughts please?

    any tips on straining please?

    Last weekend it was time to strain a couple of gallons of plum from my bucket into two demijohns. I got the big stuff out with a stainless steel cullender and tried to strain the rest through a muslin bag but it was clogged up in no time. Any tips anyone? cheers

    yeast supplier wanted

    Can anyone point me towards an online yeast supplier for wine please? I dont find these small sachets economical with postage added. A tub would be better value but I have trawled the net and cant find anything without exorbitant postal charges. Many thanks Ian
