    Topping up.

Can I hijack this thread as I have a question also on topping up...... I made a mint wine, its fermented now down to 1.010 from 1.100 (so 11.81% I think) but I have a huge air gap that needs filling in the DJ, made a huge mess up on this one I think. circa 4" to the neck of the bottle needs...

That answers my question, I think I was hoping by some miracle it might taste nice. I'll stick to my planned rose petal and elderflower wine.

    Apple blossom wine anyone?

Hi, I've got a nice apple tree that needs some blossom thinning out a bit (want less apples but bigger this year), so thought perhaps I'd try an apple blossom wine with what I take off. But,. I can't find a recipe anywhere :wha: is there good reason for this? Does it taste grim! If I...

    Lychee/lychee & pineapple TC

I was just planning a Rose wine for one of my next brews and thought Lychee might go nicely hand in hand with it. How is your lychee brew going and is it worth trying to get hold of the purée? :D

Compete brewing newbie going in at the deep end

I kept putting the cat out to stop my son doing it but the cat kept coming back in, all whilst trying to get this brew on, I was a bit flustered to say the least. Thankfully no Lego went up the cats bum and the cat didn't wallop him. Anyways, I am very pleased to announce by ginger beer is...

Compete brewing newbie going in at the deep end

 to you all! Have to say your replies have had me chuckling away. Old bloke, I think you have discovered my total ineptness at reading what appears to be a straightforward piece if kit...I think you are right 1.030...I have read the how to on here and watched a YouTube video, my excuse...

Compete brewing newbie going in at the deep end

Hello I'm a complete newbie. After weeks of lurking on this site getting tips and generally growing to like the look of this forum very much, I decided to not go ahead with a wine kit and instead have just filled my first 25l FV with a fiery ginger beer concoction (with added lemongrass and...
