Are there flavoured concentrates that could be added to conventional beers?If it's your first brew then I'd suggest skipping the flavourings personally. Adding things like fruit can be a tricky or risky thing to do, and you'll have plenty to think about already for your first brew.
Since it's an IPA, you can get lots of fruity flavours from hops, particularly US or NZ hops like galaxy, Citra, cascade, amarillo, simcoe. You can get a lot of tropical, citrusy flavours from them.
I couldn't agree more. I've made some really good SMASH and probably only one that was mediocre, its an excellent way to learn.I'm gearing up for my first ipa.......definitely SMASH.....single malt single hop...the only way to find your way.......
