I think a breakfast stout is a 'sub-genre' of a dry stout. I think it's called breakfast stout because it's got a very pronounced coffee flavour to it. A basic dry irish stout can have as little as only three differnect grains in it, Roasted Barley, Flaked barley and pale malt, so a good stout to start off on

Plan was a dry stout with some CML American pale ale yeast....but I have enough ingredients for two...for may brew one with each...

It only costs £1.70 from wilko, so almost as cheap as CML yeast
