Doing my first AG brew today, a kolsch.

Should I bottle before cold conditioning or move to another fermenter and chill for (how long) before bottling?

Confused.

Cheers

I never used the yeast but when I did a pseudo lager I went on an ale schedule. I did about 2 and a half weeks in teh fermenter bottled 2 weeks warm but then lagered for about 4 weeks in the cold... If you're going to lager I would do 3-4 weeks in a fermenter if you can. I found it doesn't matter in the bottle but I used us05

I've done Kölsch a few times. As Covrich said, just follow your normal ale schedule. It's a really nice beer, one of my favourites.

Ageing in secondary is meant to be best but there's no harm doing it in bottles.
