Hi all,

I'm after a bit of advice, I started my triple tykes bulldog brew on 12/05/17 and checked gravity today 29/05/17 gravity is 1025.
Temperature has been constant 18.
But my question is upon opening the bucket I have a lot of brown bits I think is yeast floating round the top, is this natural.

Has anyone any ideas on this .
Thanks
Big d 2657.

Sounds about right, could just be some krausen that hasn't sunk yet, give it some time when finished fermenting drop the temp a bit.

you could also if really concerned rack into a second FV to finish off, but I would leave where it is, transfer to cold crash and then into your bottling bucket( if you use one) this should give you a a nice clear beer

As per above post.
Agree, rack it if you want to. I do,and i boil a piece of voil with a band to sterilise and attach it to the racking cane to stop the crud :thumb:

hi chub 1

could you confirm you boil voil and if so could you explain what it is please, and also where to get it.
many thanks
