So tonight I thought I'd find out where SWMBO was working after her degree that paid so well and had so many draught ales. It was the Harlequin, in Sheffield - reasonable - clean lines, decent staff, plenty of free grub and about 10-20 cask brews on tap, with no big brand commercial ales in. Fair enough and nothing to report other than a decent leathering for not too much cash - apart from, turns out, this is where the Kelham Island landlord (Camra pub of the year 2004, 2007, 2009) comes to sink his pints :) Eyeing up the competition perhaps? That can't be bad for the consumer (e.g. me). Well, either way, I'm happy for her to continue working there for the meantime!
