A brew of my own formulation.

b]King of the Mountains[/b] (Biere de Garde)

Original Gravity (OG): 1.062 (°P): 15.2
Final Gravity (FG): 1.016 (°P): 4.1
Alcohol (ABV): 6.09 %
Colour (SRM): 6.1 (EBC): 12.0
Bitterness (IBU): 23.5 (Average)

61.4% Pale Ale Malt
17.54% Torrified Wheat
10.53% Munich I
10.53% Vienna

1 g/L B Saaz (6.8% Alpha) @ 90 Minutes (Boil)
0.8 g/L B Saaz (6.8% Alpha) @ 15 Minutes (Boil)
0.5 g/L B Saaz (6.8% Alpha) @ 10 Minutes (Boil)


Single step Infusion at 66°C for 90 Minutes. Boil for 90 Minutes

Fermented at 18°C with Sheapard Neam 1698 harvest

Although I have to say, that's a lot of TW, why not just use malted wheat?
High quantities of TW can produce funny flavours.

I was aiming for a Belgium-ish come French ale and have read that anywhere between 10 and 40% could be added. Also was looking for the orange colour i have seen in German wiessen beers.I was lead to believe that colour comes from TW.

So there is some method to my madness.

Oh ok, fair enough. I didn't know you could use up to 40%.
 
Not a brew biff after all!

Down to 1012 already.

The yeast is good.

Taste out of the gravity vile is lovely with biscuit coming through and a grassy flavor of hops!
