Finally got my AG set-up where I want it - thought you all might be interested in some progress pics. I have a Buffalo boiler HLT (boy was it disappointing to learn its limitations the hard way!), which works fine for mash/sparge water, and a gas-fired BK. The mash tun I made a few years ago (just realised I don't have a pic of it in place on the stand) - copper manifold in a picnic cooler (now has a few more slots than the pic). Has worked flawlessly, apart from the time I was too ambitious with the rye malt. I really wanted a gravity-fed system, for simplicity. The stands are made of old fence posts, and some scrap stainless. The copper immersion chiller was the last piece of the puzzle. It works well, but the twisted wire construction does not hold it together as well as I hoped. I'll have to think of some other way to hold it together.

I brew outdoors - make the clean-up much easier athumb..
