Hi folks, decided to brew last night so I put on an overnight mash. It was all tucked up at 22.45 at 65 degrees C, got up this morning to start at 09.45 and it had went down to about 56 degrees.
I was originally going to do an SNPA clone but I had a few different bags of malt left I wanted to use up. the SNPA recipe called for 5450g lager malt and 450g crystal. I used a similar hop schedule though, substituting Magnum for Northern Brewer and sticking with Cascade. ended up with just under 25 litres at 1.051.I've called this one Kingdom of Fife PA instead of Sierra Nevada PA!
my recipe was :
4Kg Lager malt
800g Marris Otter (the end of my 25KG bag)
299g Crystal 40ebc (end of that bag)
239g crystal 25 ebc(end of that bag

hops were:
30g Magnum at 70 mins start of boil
30g Cascade at 10
70g Cascade at 0.
the mash
