air in bottle for long term storage?

I racked off something that didn't quite fill the last bottle - left an inch to the neck. Is this going to be ok for long term storage? It's a damson/blackberry and needs time... I didn't want to add grape juice to top up as haven't put any stabilisers etc in

An inch to the neck should be fine, but a splash of cooled, boiled water isn't going to make any significant difference to body or alcohol content.

Thanks moley - i'll add that. (it's a screw top so should be able to add easily)
