I've just read on another forum that someone gently brought their apple juice to a gentle simmer for five mins to boil off the preservatives... he said it fermented well and tasted pretty good!

a useful find in case one of us accidentally picks one that's got preservatives in! :thumb:
 
repeated decanting/pouring with plenty of splashing will also drive off some preservatives.
