ok iv done another wilko newkie brown today...
but a bit different ...
this time i used a 500g bag of medium spay malt and a goldings hop .pellet tea bag ...
and 600g of white sugar and 100g of brewing sugar...
long story ...dont ask..
ok first i sanitised every thing ...
and added the wilkos kit to a pan of very hot water for fifteen mins...
then i put the goldings tea bag in a mug and filled it up with boiling water gave it a good stir then left it in there for ten mins...
then i put 2 ltrs of boiling water in the fv then added the sugar and the spray malt ...
i gave this all a dam good wisking for ten mins...
then i opened the wilkos kit and added that to the fv and washed it out into the fv with yet more boiling water ...
and yes another dam good stir/whisk for another 5 mins ...
it was all well mixed so i then added the goldings tea and the bag as it has to stay in the fv till fermentation is finished ..
so then i topped it up to 23ls with cold water from a hight of 4 feet to get plenty of oxygen in the wart ...
i then took the temp it was 21c so i done my first reading it came out at 1.040...
so i pitched the yeast and gave it a stir some dont but i do...
i put on the lid and put in the air lock then filled it with my vodka as i always do...
so job done .... ...
heres some pics ...
i hope you liked the pics...
regards mick... :hat: .
