Hi all,
Well, its happened to me. After 15 years of brewing I've had to throw 2 barrel down the sink. Suppose I can't really complain. 3 brews in 15 years isn't bad I guess..
Anyway, the beer tasted fine in the fermenter but after so many weeks it came out of the barrel and tasted sour. So I cracked open the next keg and that tasted the same!!! Just praying that the other 6 barrels are fine. Well, the one after the 2nd sour keg is going down a treat...
In the barrels there is a brown stain around the side. I've used a strong WVP solution but its still there. Any suggestions on how to get Shot of it.
I will be sanitizing very vigorously in the future. Not going past 3 bad brews in my life time!!

Regards
Russ

aaaaaw we never got to the fun solvents and stain removers like petrol and hydrogen peroxide with a big fat naked flame for seeing inside!
