couldnt get any brewing sugar for a 1 can kit but ive got medium spray malt and beerkit enhancer.now can i substitute 500g of each for 1kg of sugar.can i use them together in the same brew or do i have to use them seperately
thanks

Hi , brew enhancer is around 50% brewing sugar and 50% dme , if using 1kg of sugar for dme you should use around 1.2kg of dme to be around the same .

Use 'em like for like, i.e. 500g beerkit enhancer for 500g sugar. Definitely use them together.
I've just split a 2 can kit (wherry) and fermented each can separately to 20litres. I used 500g dark spraymalt+1kg beerkit enhancer+ (I think) 1.5kg sugar to give OG 1080 in one and a bit more sugar to give 1085 in the other! :drunk:
HTH
PS When in doubt use your hydrometer! That's what it is designed for. :thumb:

thanks for the replies ive got a hydrometer but never really used it and i forgot all about it .
i think ill use 500g of each and any shortfall use ordinary sugar.
once again thanks
