Hi,

I'm currently storing all my home brew in an old bathroom cupboard out in the garden shed, but unfortunately, or should I say fortunatley, it's getting rather full.

Do you think there would be any problems storing the beer that is in brown glass / PET bottles out of the cupboard and just on shelves in the shed? Obviously this would mean I could make loads more but I wouldn't want the quality of the beer to deteriorate owing to any issues with the light

cheers
Pat

Cool and dark is the ideal but brown glass should be fine with a little light.

Also if its kit beers the hops I believe are isomerised so no risk of smelly skunked beer

Just keep an eye on the weather, we were hitting -10c or worse.

sure thing mate, luckily i'm in a fairly urban so doesnt get that cold but will deffo watch it over the colder months.

Any idea at which the beers will start to freeze? I guess it depends how strong it is?

to guard from both light and cold you can always drape a towel or similar over them..

try your local freecycle for crates, they are made for the job!!
