10l. I let the hot break go at about 8.5l after grain absorption, then the bag is dumped in boiler top up water, gives me a bit more wort on a small system. Not saying my figures are entirely accurate, but it makes good beer!

Bottled. Very thick at the moment, a little worried that there'll be tonnes of leftover cocoa sludge in the bottles! My hydrometer measured 1.030 but it's dry! Needs some maturing now...

Well, against all odds, this has turned out quite well! Cracked the first pint tonight.

It's not clear, there's a few bits floating in it, looks like strands. But the sediment has packed nicely, so the sediment and small amount of chocolate powder in the bottles are seperating when pouring, meaning that the floaters arn't nasty sediment but tasty chocolate. There's no greasiness or nasty texture when drinking, so it's palatable even if head retention is low :)

Flavour wise, it's a bit bitter and dry, but the chocolate is nice. Orange doesn't come through much, maybe I should serve with grand mariner! But it's drinkable, and my stupid brewing phases are calming down now, so not a roaring success but a beer nontheless and hopefully one I can crack out to make people laugh
