Hello,

I have purchased new bottles - What process should I use to clean them before use, ( for Wine).

At the moment I am washing in a Hypochlorite solution and then rinsing in a solution of 5grams of Sodium MetaBisulphate in 5 litres of water and then drying.

Is this satisfactory?

Hello, I'm new to homebrewing but when I've re-used old wine bottles, I've given them a good rinse, then mixed some sterlizer solution and added a bit to each bottle, put the cap on and given them a good few shakes over an hour or so... rinsed them out and bottled.

I've had no probs.... yet.
