crusty bottles..

i was keeping all my clean ish and used glass bottles in a very weak thin bleach solution.

I have just noticed that they all have crusty deposits all over them (inside and out!!).

I'm assuming its some sort of alkaline salt deposit from the bleach!!? I'm no chemist!!

If it is, would soaking in an acid solution of any sort help?? i cant even scrape it off, and wondering whether i should ditch them.

any help guys?

I had this too, and it did dissolve in 'very' hot water if left to soak a while, its just hard trying to agitate it from inside the bottles

All my bottles are done by the dishwasher.

But it's the higher temp and the caustic powder that gets the results.

We do sell caustic soda at work, may soak them in that, with v.hot water...just wondering if it'll damage the bath, its plastic!? :drink:
