As it is a lovely evening and I had 23 litres of beer to bottle up, and as I brewed outside I thought I'd bottle up outside. Now I either have 40 bottles of very nice tasting beer or, because of the swarm of fruit flies, 40 bottles of vinegar

I've gor several of those yellow sticky fly catches ( from garden centre) hung around the brewery. They dont half catch em.

Well don't bottle outside, that's just asking for trouble.

I racked 3 x 15 litres of wine this morning before work. Rattled the fruit bowl first (where Mrs. Mole has an over-ripe melon attracting their attention) but only 2 of the little blighters emerged. They didn't live much longer. Another one passed me while I was spraying a jug with Videne, that one got sterilised.
