I bought all my kit from Leyland home brew and so far they have been faultless, holding pressure great. By the time I get round to drinking them they have been sitting in the garage for 3 months and the pressure is fine, I have a couple with Brewferm Gold in that have been in there since February which I'll be cracking open at Christmas. I also use a lot of bottles and the brewferm stuff gets better the longer it's left so am hoping for a great pint with those.
Stevej got it right when he said to use 1/3 the priming sugar you normally would
I usually use 1 t-spoon per 500ml bottle. 10 bottles per 5 ltr keg divided by 3 should be 3 t-spoons.?

So how many grams are we talking per teaspoonfull of sugar as I usually batchprime and prime at 5g/L. A quick google tells me theres 4g to a teaspoon of sugar so going by your calcs I should be putting 13.3g of sugar in a keg or 2.6g/L

I don't weigh but your calc looks about right, as long as you don't go over you should be fine

Non -refillable - that is so much BS. These look exactly like the Easy Kegs I got from Brew UK. Even down to the little white (non re-useable) plastic bung in the top with the re-useable one next to the keg

Yup, look just like mine. No idea why they say non refillable, the clear plastic cap is just a dust cap for storing when empty nothing more.I used these for my first 2 barrels, stored them in the spare bedroom for secondary fermentation only to be woke up in the middle of the night by a sound like a gun going off when the caps blew off

Those kegs I linked to in the very first post, say to be primed at upto 20G.
The supermarket kegs I'll be using will have my stout in them, so I was gonna prime light anyway. Safe as houses!

I've been following this thread with interest.
I assume that the Easy Keg and any contents, and method of dispensing are a step up from below

Yes, 20gms is what I was told when I got my 1st EasyKeg .... I tend to use about 15 - 17 gms though as I prefer a more 'real ale' level of sparkle.

Picked mine up yesterday from the sorting office (was out when delivery attepted). Impressed with the kit and the deluxe tap thingy.

Re: priming, for a bitter when bottling I normally go with 100g for 23 litres of bitter so I make that 4.3 grams per litre.

If you are supposed to use 1/3 - 1/2 of the normal amount that would be 7g - 10g for 5 litres. Think I will try 10g of Tate and Lyle per 5 litre minikeg for my first batch.

Got mine on Tuesday. I've got a mild in the FV at the mo that I'll be filling a mixture of kegs, 1L growlers, 500ml bottles and 300ml bottles with in a week or so's times
