I've watched some youtube vids about making Hard Cider using Juice. Is there much of taste difference when using the Juice from say places like Asda to other Supermarkets? also how dose it compare to apples you've crushed yourself?

Never done it with crushed apples but done loads of variations of tc.
IMO there is no obvious difference from an aldi apple juice to a Morrison's or asda version. I do tend to use asdas own apple juice 4ltr@£2.39 though.(not smartprice but works out even cheaper).
I always make a flavoured variety though so maybe I wouldn't notice the difference.

I use pure apple cider. Not from a store. They key is that the cider you begin with is not pasteurized

Another vote for Lidl juice here ... although when I bought some yesterday it had gone up to 55p per litre!
