Hi I've decided to make some hard lemonade this afternoon and the gravity before pitching the yeast was 1.62! What should it ferment down too and what will alcohol content be?
Are you sure it was 1.62, and not 1.062? Because to get 1.62 you would need over 1.5kg of sugar per litre, and it wouldn't ferment! If it was 1.062, then you'd get about 8% if it ferments fully.
