Hello,

really new to the game of beer brewing!

Basically we got a Gluten Free Kit from Mangroove Jack IPA.

https://mangrovejacks.com/collections/craft-series-brewery-pouch/products/gluten-free-pale-ale
We are a little confused. The process indicate to mix Liquid malt extract + dextrose + water (23l) together and wait 7-10 days until . after 7 days we had a SG of 1.020. We then added the dry hops.

We are a little confused, as we are not bottling - only using the Keg. Now the instruction are for bottle and they state to use carbonation drop? If you use a Keg: is it a matter of sealing the the beast and add the CO2... then wait a couple of weeks? Do you need to do anything else?

Thanks

No carbonation drops needed if you are kegging ,various ways to carbonate your beer in the keg but you are on the right track as I carbonate by sealing the keg remember to release the Oxygen that's in the keg after putting CO2 in, then set the pressure to what you want and leave it for a few weeks' to carbonate. Or you can force carbonate You Tube is a good place to see how too.

If you are using a plastic keg/pressure barrel you can prime it with dextrose or sugar to carbonate it. Can't remember how much..could be as low as 60g as you only have a working pressure of about 15 psi. If you go over it'll vent through the release valve . You can also add gas through this valve.

Do you need to add dextrose in the second fermentation if you already added some in the 1st one? This is where I am a little confused. We added something like 1kg of dextrose to the yeast + pure malt mix... So do we need to add some more sugar?
thanks

So no need to add any sugar / dextrose for the second fermentation as we added some at the 1st one?

No need to add it to the keg if you have CO2 as it is to basically create CO2 to carbonate in the bottle. Keep, it simple to start with set pressure on the regulator to what pressure you want normally approx 12psi depending on the beer and leave it for a couple of weeks
