My name is Dave, Im 25 and just moved to Bristol from London. Im a self employed guitar maker and music fan.

I always wanted to try brewing my own ales and lagers and since finding the Brewer's droop in Bristol and realising that the west country love their cider too much, I figured it was a good time to make some of natures goodness.

Im a complete and utter noob, I have never attempted anything like this before. I read the Papazian book, and have relaxed and had many a home brew! :lol:

Im a couple of weeks into my first home brew- a lager kit. Thinking of doing a nice pale ale next and am really up for trying a Mead too.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you guys!

Have you discovered Bar Zero in Bristol yet?
It's a good brew pub near the university and last week they had a a great pale ale, black lager and wheat beer on. Food's not bad either
