Hi all, new to the forum and to home brew

Have just spent £65 on a load of kit including some Better Brew Czech Pilsner of which i believe after reading a lengthy thread on here is hopefully going to be pretty good

Just one question, glass bottles or PET bottles?

I have bought 40 PET ones to start me off but should i start collecting glass ones, will they make my beer taste better or would that just be psychological?

Hi and welcome, never used PET bottles myself but many do. If you move over to glass don't use clear glass.

PET bottles are perfect, and easy and safer to clean and sterilise. They also bounce when dropped ( usually.)
Brown glass are traditional beer bottle, Glass ones can be collected free from pubs clubs re cycling points etc.
So....take your pick.

i'm a minor beginner, so please take info with a pinch of salt. However, I've read that using plastic is a bad idea. Save bottles (brown only), from supermarkets
