Just popping in to say hello, new to brewing and thoroughly enjoying myself! So far my first brew was a St Peters Golden Ale, made with all the classic newbie mistakes, including no SG, no FG, bottled way too early and now over conditioned (but still drinkable!), then a Woodefords Wherry, again no SG, but an FG of 1012 (reading the forums this seems to be a classic sticking point), however, it's bottled and is really rather a nice pint, and conditioning in the fridge is a Razorback IPA, SG1050, FG1011, giving an ABV of 5.1 or so. That'll be ready in around 5-6 weeks, according to the instructions, so I'm looking forward to trying it over August bank holiday.
Currently assembling the equipment for my first AG brew, that'll be fun!
Looking forward to chatting with you all.
