I've just joined, my brewing experience is Tom caxtons gravity 45 when i was about 18, 31 years ago !!!!!
I tried about 30 ish pints of scrumpy last autumn, just got a load of apples, chopped 'em, juiced 'em. Added sugar and yeast , into demijohns left for a few about 10 weeks, then bottled it all. Sadly it was all a bit too sweet, can't remember how much sugar, but will investigate that problem more , come autumn time.
My next thing is I have a craving for ginger beer. We have a couple of invite only mini festivals to go to this year and I'm thinking vodka mules, so ginger beer it is.
I'm going to use one of the recipes on this forum. Gonna make a gallon first and then see how it goes.
