I take it this a hoppy brew. I don't do these myself, but the guys on here would appreciate more details on the recipe, for sure. :thumb:
 
Well done that man! If there is ever a way of measuring your ability as a beer brewer then claiming silver in a national comp is a pretty good way of doing it!congrats Darren.
 
Well done mate - great to see a fellow forumite do well.

I'm still waiting for one of my scores to be revealed, but suffice to say it didn't threaten the medals. :lol:
 
Just found my scores, Apia got 42, pale ale got 30 and the Belgian blonde got 27.
I'm surprised the ipa did that well, to my tastebuds the pale was much better!
Hopefully I can get the score sheets when I get back from hols, I'd love to improve these beers again. The pale and the ipa are both in their third incarnation.
