Hi everyone, well have everything apart from ingredients to do my first AG brew which is to be an EKG single hop ale taken from Greg Hughes Home brew beer scaled down 13lt. Here is the ingredients and my proposed method
3kg pale malt(Maris Otter)
150g brupak's Carapils malt
30g EKG @60min
14g EKG @15min
14g EKG @5min
44g EKG @0min
Irish Moss @15min
Safbrew S33 yeast

Mash with 13l water @ 71℃ to give mash temp of 66.7℃ for 1 hour
lauter and drain into kettle.
Sparge 12lt of water @ 75.6℃
Take OG
Boil for 1hour
chill using no chill cube overnight
Take OG
pour into FV aerating by pour from height
Hydrate the S33 yeast and add to FV
Place in brew fridge @20℃

Could someone run over this and pass on any tips. Not sure of how much Irish moss i should add. Is the chosen yeast suitable?
Many thanks in advance for any help offered
Peter

Yeast is fine. S33 isn't too bad. Irish moss, I just use a pinch. Put it in the last 10 minutes of the boil or with your 15 minute addition.
Hops are a bit much... but if you like it then go for it. If it was me I'd dial down the 60 minute to 20 to 25 grams. And the 5 and flameout won't be too different so I'd do it an 8 minute and flameout with 30 grams. But that's just me.
