Hi everyone 👋🏻

New brewer based out of Glossop/ Manchester. Myself and two friends decided around 6 months ago that we’d get into the hobby thinking it couldn’t be THAT hard…

Well 6 months down, we have brewed 6 beers (all BIAB in a 25L Kettle). Have experimented with our own recipe creations and I have just bought an old under-counter fridge to set up better fermentation temp control.

Next brew day is Saturday and we are giving a NEIPA a try.

Any tips and tricks welcome, we hope to get involved in some competitions this year to get some feedback and push on with some of our favourite beers!

Looking forward to getting into the forum a bit more. Cheers 🍻

Welcome to the forum!
NEIPAs are hard for the homebrewer. Keeping oxygen out is paramount and they really aren't suited to bottling because of the exposure to air. See How to avoid NEIPA oxidation?
In terms of competitions, consider starting here Competition Schedule 2023
The forum will be able to provide some constructive feedback and pointers on how to improve a brew.

Thanks! We did a heavy dry hop (for us) on our last brew and didn’t get masses of oxidation, we are still in the “we like these beers so let’s try it” phase of home brewing so will take a look at the tips on there and see what we can do.

Our set up is still very basic so may be something we just have to keep a really close eye on!
