Batch number 2 yesterday blocked the hop filter in the boiler so I took an old sieve that's been sat a few years in the garage and skooshed some star San on it and dumped the batch through it into the FV.

PLEASE TELL ME ITLL BE OK!!!!

If you'd already cooled it then it will be fine. If the wort was hot then there might be some oxidation but there seems to be debate as to whether hot side aeration is actually an issue. So I think it will be ok.

agree with Rob

it wil help to re rack to secondary when fermented out

ps what hop filter do you use?

Nice. Thanks.

I use a home made hop filter. It's never blocked in about 50 batches and is completely free now. I've no idea why the flow stopped.

Heres's a pic.

Mind me asking what you think this'll help do?

well if loads of crud break has got into your fermenter that will best off been left behind so as to aid clarity of your final beer
