yeah go for it and if temp does rise place the lot in some water , the extra liquid should help maintain a steady lower temp than room temp and should remain steady (ish) from night to day .
 
what temp will you be fermenting at ? 12c or 18c , i thought you was on about 12c . i would just use heater in water if 18c is wanted it will cut out anyway if too warm to heat , to get 18c in the water the room would need to be around 22c .
