Just found a recipe for an Abbey Ale. The recipe states that you should primary ferment for one week then secondary ferment for 2 weeks. I take it this just means racking the beer off the sediment into a clean FV for a secondary? There are no ingredient additions for the secondary.

If there are no additions, I wouldn't bother. Unless you have reservations about leaving your beer on the trub then you can save your the time and effort by just leaving it until you're ready to bottle or keg.
