So we in a proxy war with the ruskis
Nato and Russia have been a proxy war for two years now.
Russia invaded Crimea even before they invaded the rest of Ukraine. Russian agents were poisoning dissidents in the UK.
Apparently some NATO countries are preparing for a conventional war with Russia within 10 years.

We have been in a cold war with Russia since the dissolution of the Soviet Union, it just went in to a latent phase for a short while in the 90's.
Remember that the Soviet power structure never really went away, it just out on some new clothes and made some pragmatic adaptions...

The Russians had military personnel in Ukraine during the whole separatist internal conflict stage of the war...
And besides, how many of those missiles can be expected to even be functional judging by the catastrophic failures due to corruption within the Russian armed forces witnessed during the war?

Didn't Russian state tv show a simulation of a nuclear detonation of the west coast of Ireland that enveloped both Ireland and Britian in a huge Tsunami, with the presenters chuckling in the background?
Russia have been playing a zero sum game for a while now

I would think they would do this near Netherlands as there are gas reserves that may explode and sink entire Netherlands
Anyway, the UK does not have enough bunkers and Russia claims their new missiles can go through any air defence system.

Totally agree, only would add that both side use museum items

Russia says this about all their weapons, and then if they ever put them in the field they generally turn out to be the same as the old weapon with go-faster stripes on them.

People should not listen to Russian propaganda - it's got too many people afraid of their own shadows, when really we should be afraid of the unchecked march of a tyrant. Europe really needs to get its head out of its **** and give Ukraine everything it needs, if we don't then Ukraine will fall, and who knows what is next.

Ukraine needs manpower. And giving them troops is the beginnig of WW3.

That is where we have to draw the line we cannot get directly involved with troops on the ground or we will be heading for WW3
Well as proven above there already are boots on the ground, and electronic warfare aircraft in nearby airspace feeding target data to Ukraine.

The problem with drawing lines in the sand is that inevitably at some point you have to step over them, although I do agree that having a mass deployment of troops to Ukraine would be quite an escalation.

Equally though you have to question where Putin will stop if Ukraine falls?
