Well no point in posters quoting rail fares for stations within the congestion charge area?
That’s how most rail travel into London works unfortunately. A majority of the main line stations are within the CC zone so even if you don’t work within it, you often find you need to travel into it and then out again. Not the case if you travel by car.

Not in my experience, get off previous stop and change or cycle

Where is the reality that taking a car rather than train and cycle is less damaging to the environment.

He drives an EV which costs less than the cycle and train journey you suggested I don't know if all trains that go into London are electric if they are not then the EV is better for the environment and you don't get to work sweaty or soaking wet if the weather is hot or raining which is another plus.
