Hi All
Got my tank connectors from bes, which don't come with rubber washers. Realise now its better to get them from screwfix, as they are cheaper and come with washer. Anyhow got some of the fibre washers from bes, does anyone know if they are safe and seal ok or should I get some rubber ones from a plumbers merchant. :wha:

Cheers

Andy

Go for it. They should be fine as SS is more ridged. I use rubber on my plastic boiler but fibre on my SS pot and both seal just fine.

I do take it that the washers that come standard with the screwfix tank connectors are rubber. Why would you steer clear of rubber? As this could mean a rethink of my existing boiler and hlt.

Didn't think of the silicone baking sheet and have already seen that thread before.
