What type of water do you use?? Bottled spring water or just normal tap water??

In terms of HC03- Our tap water is 4 times over the acceptable limit ... it's impossible to mash with. I use a Dave Line trick, water butt in the garden, collect the water off the roof and then it goes through a carbon filter ... works for me. Salt additions according to brew.
 
I just use tap water. Our water is from deep artesian wells, so very little chlorine in it. Didn't know about acidity - I am new to this but must check it now that it has been mentioned!
