I'd describe myself as a social liberal, a fiscal conservative and a civic nationalist.

I've just completed my third political compass test and the results have moved fractionally to the right of my earlier goes but are still very close to previous results: Slightly more libertarian than authoritarian and very slightly left of centre - although I suspect that my results may appear a little more leftist than they actually are because some of the questions appear to be particular to the social attitudes of American conservatives.

I have never really given it much thought (here are my results) i am not too surprised by the first but am a little surprised by the second.

Your Political Compass
Economic Left/Right: -4.5
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.0

Left/Right -5.63
Lib/Auth -4.46

It’s an interesting test, it made me realise the areas where I was selecting the liberal and authoritarian options particularly. Instinctively I would have drawn myself in the quadrant I ended up in but closer to the centre than I came out. Cheers for posting Ken, that was a good exercise.

I’m basically @Gunge ’s worst nightmare!

Pretty much a centrist, though leaning towards Clint's position.

chart

Economic Left/Right: 3.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.28
I think I am more libertarian than this suggests as some things I may disagree with I don't think should be imposed on others by the state.

Economic Left/Right: -6.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.97

In 2016 i got -7.0/-6.92... in a few decades I might be centrist.

Economic left/right: -6.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.19

That seems about right: when it comes to politics, I identify as a democratic socialist.

Economic Left /Right -3
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian 0.51
What the hell that means don't know?

Just came across this

I think I agree if you can be bothered to watch it basically if you say cannabis should be legalised you could think it because you think the government should not rule on thinks like thaty because your libertarian or because you think the government could make tax money and strictly control it and keep track of who takes it making you authoritarian. Also you could answer completely differently and get the same result. Also I don't see hoe any government could function with scores of -6 in both categories as it would have to be fairly authoritarian to implement all the social policies.
