    Start stopping vimto wine

i dont think it would ruin the wine although 2 months does seem excessive for a Vimto! have you taken a hydrometer reading recently? Have a check and it ifs not far off I'd just rack it and stabilise, a lot of my brews do slow down a bit when the heatings off but never really to a full...

If I use a campden to kill wild yeast how long do i leave?

Hi all, I'm planning to do my first wine that isnt either a kit or WOW style. Now I have free access to blackberries and have found a recipe i like the sound of. Only issue is it says to use a CT to kill any wild yeast, it does say this is optional but I have some so thought I might as well...

KEEPING BOTTLES WARM FOR PRIMING. and POOR CARBONATION.

cleslie - i hate to hear of anyone wasting beer! just in case you ever get a flat beer again, don't pour it away! I had around 14ltrs of flat coopers cerveza, half seemed to fizz up nicely but the other half nothing. This might sound not sound very nice but try mixing the lager equal parts to...

    does TC actually clear?

I only ever use supermarket home brands and always get a perfect crystal finish. I always clear in a demi, rack to 2 litre bottles for priming (for which i normally use ribena or another cordial and a bit of sugar, makes a lovely fruity cider), then when the pressure has built up i transfer into...

    Carbonation question/issue

I found that my first TC was quite flat when priming with sugar, it was carbonated just not much, now I prime all my TC with various cordials for flavour which fizzes them up nicely and adds a nice flavour and makes it a pleasure to drink even after just a couple of weeks!
