    Quickest (2-3 weeks?) & Most Drinkable Brew With Limited Equipment

    Luckily read this just before I went for my essentials shop today so picked up some cartons. Do you top up after the yeast gets going, or is the recipe just for 3L of wine? Also, does it matter what yeast I use? I think I've only got some Gervins sparkling wine yeast in.

    Fantastic. How much syrup did you use? That sounds lovely. I'm just getting started with kits at the moment but when I get to the stage I feel ready to have a go at creating recipes I'll have to give something like that a go.

    So I did my first bottling of my first beer kit today. I think I'd better treat it as a learning exercise... Some things I learned - I need an FV with a tap - siphons suck. Prime first, not as you go along. That will get messy. Make sure you have a beer poured ready. Coffee is not good...
