The service was sh*te prior to recent strikes. People clearly have short, or rather selective, memories. Other countries seem to manage it, and indeed see our railways as profitable.

I did this recently with an unusual strain I'd not used. I'd had it for around 14 months. Didn't want to ditch it, so just started small, and did a few starter steps. Thought it was dead initially, but lo and behold, it very vigorous when I stepped up to 1L starter.

You can have a target percentage, and set a start time and end time.

Sainsbury's sell it. Tesco do have it in over the summer as well. Also, my local oriental supermarket gets it in. It's not the easiest thing to find.

Pad Kra Pao is excellent. Love cooking it.

As insurance, I always do a vitality starter at the very least with liquid yeast. Saves for any nasty surprises. I've had apparently very fresh yeast before that was very sluggish and I can only imagine it was stored poorly/suffered in transport. Dried is far more robust, so I don't bother with...

I wonder why this is all coming out now, just weeks after Donaldson agreed to end the boycott of power-sharing. Just how many of his backers knew about this?
