Does it make any significant difference whether the water is cold or boiling when it is added? And will campden tablets kill the yeast if I add it too soon?

The recipe doesn't mention adding lemons or acid but it sounds like its a good idea to add the lemons anyway. The recipe just says to add water. This means cooled boiled water...
