    if it has stoped fermenting which i guess it has, by the fact you have add ct's, rack the cider off into another fv and leave it to stand until its cleared. this really helps improve the flavor as well, once it has cleared and thrown another cediment rack it again and then bottle it, you can...

    cheers for the reply, i have some young cleaner/ steraliser will give it a good soak today. i just always found it to be expensive, thin bleach @ 23p for a couple of ltrs and a bottle of cheap baby bottle sanitiser have always done the trick in the past with out any problems, just these dj's...

    i did try with the rice to no avail, also tried a demi john scrubing brush to no avail. think i might try some bicarb of soda and a soak in tempid water see if that helps any. if not im lost, any of the comercial products that might be up to the job

    welcome to the forum, i have done the youngs strawberry wine and it was yum, only thing is that mine refused to clear fully, so i bought a vine brite filter and filtered it, was crystal clear once filtered. the only problem is a 1 gallon kit does not make enough bottles off this stuff. good...
