To be fair their porter was perfectly fine.

    Daftest beer yet?

It's part of the Marks & Spencer's range too, pleasant beer, but considering the vast number of hop varieties in there it's not that hoppy

    Tiny Rebel, Cwtch

That's the news I was waiting to hear - I love cwtch and was really hoping the kit turns out like it in real life. I'll hunt this down!

Ooops! Dropped the kit tin inside the fermenter..

I've dropped a can in before and things have been fine. If you've done a good job of sterilising then you should be fine, as I see it homebrew' is a battle between yeast (specifically the one you use for your brew) and bacteria - once one of those two takes control it tends to win. In...

    Gozdawa

Bottled at the weekend - currently bottle conditioning. Very very espresso / cocoa type flavours on the nose, not bad straight out of the FV so I'm hoping this ones pretty good.

    dry beer kits

I've just started a Hambleton bard lager supreme DME kit. One day in and the yeast doesn't seem to have done all that much - I expected a little more action. Very cloudy, murky mix so far - here's hoping it clears

    paperwork to sell beer

I believe you'd need to be registered with the taxman for excise duty, and also therefore undergo the food hygiene inspection of your brewing area. I'm sure it's quite a big ball-ache, but happy for someone more in the know to correct me.

The Range- Make Your Own Home Brew, IPA Review

I found with this one a few weeks of aging was good - but if left a long time the hop flavours fell off quickly.

    Easy Keg 5L

Jaipur's lovely - I'd get one just for the beer anyway. Since I've been on the lookout for theses for homebrew - I have yet to see one anywhere in the supermarkets.

    Storage boxes?

Very sensible. I do almost the same with the equivalent ikea boxes. Tucked down the side of our fridge.

    Geordie Yorkshire Bitter Review

Three weeks of bottle conditioning on mine now, so thoughts I'd give it a try. It's a very savoury quite bitter tasting bitter if that makes sense, decent carbonation already. Slight homebrew twang to it, which I'm hoping will disappear with age.

    Gozdawa

I've got their Silesian Porter kit on the go at the moment. With 500g Dark DME 450g Black Treacle 100g Brewers sugar It's in the fermenter after 1 week, decent level of fermentation (I accidently pitched it a bit warm, about 28) so I was concerned and added a bit more Wilkos yeast after it had...

    mixing kits

Right now I'm on a prolific burst of brewing. Because I've got a lot of kits to use up, and I'll be moving house next year, so I'm thinking get a big batch of beer done, then I dont want to be moving hundreds of bottles, so I can drink them all up, and start afresh in the new house. I've...
