    St Peter's Golden Ale - Confused.com

Well, this is strange - off she goes again :wha: Bubbling away again - probably once every 3 of 4 seconds... Nothing has changed - Oh, I dunno. I think I'll just leave it until 10 days are up. This one is confusing me though

    St Peter's Golden Ale - Confused.com

OK, I'll just ignore it for a week then :) Got a Mexican Cerveza on as well which has foamed up nicely but nothing in the airlock. On that one though I think it is the fermenting bin. Only ever used this one as a secondary and I am doubting the completeness of the seal so not worried. I can...

    St Peter's Golden Ale - Confused.com

Hmmm - OK.... The last kit I had (Midland Mild Ale) steadily bubbled away and then petered off towards the end, this one went nuts and seems to have almost died off already..... It's the difference between the 2 which has surprised me here....

    St Peter's Golden Ale - Confused.com

Hey Guys Bought a St Peter's Golden Ale kit at the weekend and got it on. Sterilised everything thoroughly (kit hadn't been used for a while so was double careful) And followed the instructions to the letter on the box. Sure enough, within 2-3 hours, it had foamed up and by the following day...

My brewing memoires thread - Ale Kit brewing

Well, it has been a VERY long time since I updated this. Had all the right motives but starting a family got in the way. While I was away from you guys, I started experimenting. I discovered the "Hippy Juice" recipes which have become the preferred drink of SWMBO. We NEVER actually buy shop...

    Been a while - advice on a kit/recipe please

Well, bit the bullet.... Had to go over to my local brewing shop today for bottles etc for the wine I am brewing for my sister and just happened to spy the St Peter's Golden Ale taunting from the shelf. Last one he had left as well.... "Very popular that one - Gave it a go myself and was very...

MR2Jay's Ghost Chilli Turbo Cider Recipe

Tried and tested recipe here bud :) Gave it a go earlier in the year with the ghost chillies for a bit of a laugh and what came out at the end was epic!! In fact, looking to get another batch on in the next few days and try a 6 month conditioning on it for next summer, see if it will improve...

MR2Jay's Ghost Chilli Turbo Cider Recipe

It certainly has some bite, I can tell you but rather surprisingly it has a really good cider flavour to begin with. Each swig almost cleans your mouth before the next hit so you end up with cider, chilli, cider, chilli. You know what I mean? :) My first experiment was with dried Apache...

MR2Jay's Ghost Chilli Turbo Cider Recipe

OK, here is my Chilli Turbo Cider recipe. It isn't to everyone's taste but is certainly something different that will add a little spice into your life. A word of warning though, this is not for the people that are afraid of a chilli kick, this certainly will fire up the back of your throat ;)...

Turbo cider any advice on first brew.

Tried an experiment with Turbo Cider over the summer funnily enough and what a result!!! Made the Turbo Cider as usual using the dirt cheap stuff from Lidl only made a "tea" of sorts using a teaspoon of dried Bhut Jolokia Chillies (Ghost Chillies) and boiling water. This tea was enough to...

    Been a while - advice on a kit/recipe please

    Coopers Mexican Cerveza

Tried this one myself a while back and bottled it.... Really good lager actually, pleasantly surprised me. Even better with a slice of lime. Personally I would bottle it though as it will retain it's fizz better :thumb:

    Been a while - advice on a kit/recipe please

Hey Guys, Been a long time since I was on here - been away starting a family ;) Anyhow, I have my large bin sat doing nothing and would like to pick your brains. I'm looking for a kit/recipe that is a similar flavour to Young's Special. I am tempted by the St Peter's Golden Ale but as it is a...
