well, just brewed a second batch as it's going down well. I do pick up the orange citrus from this hop and I'm liking it a lot, so I added some clementine peel to this boil to help lift that flavour a little more, going to be a regular brew for me this one !

over enthusiastic cleaning last brew day I managed to lose an o-ring from the tap on the pico boiler, the tap always bugged me as the tap outlet was close to the body of the boiler, which meant I had to have quite an overhang off the worktop for it to pour into an fv nicely, good time for an...

it has a nice bite to it, and I've heard people say it has an onion taste, I don't get any of that...just citrus, just grabbed another cheeky bottle as it's good, thinking I might brew this again soon as I can't see it lasting long ! brewed a Chinook/Cascade ipa today and chose summit over...

ok I went with 10g Summit @ 60min 20g Chinook @ 5min 20g Cascade @ 5min & 20g Chinook & 20g Cascade had a 20min steep @75deg og of 1.052 for 21ltrs & 32.23 ibu's leaves me plenty to dry hop with :thumb:

not entirely sure i'll use them all :lol: strike water is warming up and I still haven't a definite addition schedule worked out !

4500g of MO 200g TW 300 Dextrine 100g Chinook whole 100g Cascade whole and either Summit or Nugget for bittering Danstar nottingham... recipe to be decided overnight thoughts welcome :thumb:

brew went ok, had an og of 1.050 and a fg of 1.008, had a pre secondary taste and decided to chuck in 40g of chinook pellet with the 40g of summit whole, dry hopped for 4days and bottled 19ltrs. cheeky taste tonight after 3 days in the bottle... nice mouth feel, decent bitterness with a good...
