Yeah, it’s a pain to open and close the CO2 whenever I want to pull a pint in my setup but it’s also better than emptying a full tank in a day or two. I was thinking about using the cask breather to limit oxygen uptake during cold crashing but the leak issue has me rethinking that approach.

I recently got a cask widge to use with my pin cask and I’m curious about venting. I know typically casks can be vented for 24hrs give or take when using just a soft peg, but how long does one vent using a cask widge?

I had that happen with a hefeweizen I brewed a couple years back. I think it was because I splashed it around a lot at bottling time. My thought is oxidized as well
