We have a home brew group (West Country Home Brewers) and meet monthly in Weston-super-Mare. I know it’s a bit of a hike from where you are but if you’re ever in the area on the second Tuesday of the month, you’d be welcome to join us.
Yes, it was an unpleasant experience made worse by the fact it was £900 not refunded. It eventually cost them hundreds of pounds more when all the costs and interest to me was factored in. In one if the very few discussions I managed to have with them, the person I was talking to did say some...
I had a difficult situation with Brew UK regarding a refund for a glycol chiller which they’d advertised as being at a lower price than any of their competitors. I complained when I found it on other sites at a much lower price at the same point in time. It took me 6 months to get anything other...
That’s great. We meet on the first Tuesday of the month at the Fork ‘n Ale in Weston-super-Mare. I’ll look for the Facebook message re joining the group.
We’ve got a home brew group on Facebook (West Country Home Brewers) and meet monthly in Weston-super-Mare. You’re very welcome to join us if you’d like.

I’ve done tons of brews but never had a problem with the basic filter and nothing else (well there was once but I put that down to stupidity!!). On the transfer to the fermenter, I use the GF mash paddle to gently scrape the front of the filter making sure I only apply pressure in the direction...
I bought an all grain recipe kit from them a while back and one of the ingredients was not per the recipe. They emailed me to tell me of their mistake (mix up in the warehouse somewhere) and sent me an entirely new shipment with all the correct ingredients even though it was a minor error on one...
I was given a MJ blueberry cider kit which I brewed about 9 months ago. I don’t drink cider very often and I’m not very keen on the fruit ciders but the friends I have this brew to thought it was lovely.
